$2,300 DOWN, $19,997,700 TO GO

$2,300 DOWN, $19,997,700 TO GO

June 27, 2008

Barack Obama took a break from swimming in his pile of money (documented here), to contribute the statutory maximum for an individual to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. The New York Times writes:

Senator Barack Obama said on Thursday that he had written a personal check of $2,300 to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, a good-will gesture intended to nudge his top donors to help ease Mrs. Clinton’s campaign debt and help the two Democrats move beyond their rivalry to focus on the fall contest.

This whole thing has really got to chap Hillary’s ass. Less than a year ago she was a shoe-in to waltz into the White House in January ‘09, and now she’s a loser, $20 million in debt, and has to beg Obama for money. It reminds me of the time that I peed my pants in 8th grade. Sure, I cried and the school nurse called my Mom and let me go home, but I still had to go back into class to get my coat.

HILLARY’S A QUITTER

HILLARY’S A QUITTER

June 5, 2008

Despite having the lead in the popular vote, having more people vote for her than any candidate in the history of presidential primaries, and being the strongest candidate against John McCain in the fall, Hillary Clinton has turned her back on her 17 million supporters. The APreports:

Clinton prepared to declare Saturday that she is backing the Illinois senator after Democratic congressional colleagues made clear they had no stomach for a protracted intraparty battle once Obama secured the 2,118 delegates necessary to clinch the nomination.

This is why a woman can never be president. At the first sign of adversity she just turns tail and runs away! A man would have toughed it out. I bet she brings him a warm batch of rice krispies treats to his next rally or knits him a sweater for campaigning in November. Ease up, June Cleaver. You’re a disgrace to feminists everywhere. One more setback like this and women will lose the right to vote. Mark my words.
